MUMBAI: Two of the three children missing from Nagpada were traced in Varanasi on Thursday . Police suspect the children, aged between four and six years, were kidnapped by a gang of beggars. Police said the Varanasi child line on Wednesday evening called up the Nagpada police to inform that two missing girls Kulsum and Tarranum Khan have been found.

Police said the Varanasi child line on Wednesday evening called up the Nagpada police to inform that two missing girls Kulsum and Tarranum Khan have been found.

Child line volunteers are still trying to trace the third child, Kabir Khan, also missing from Nagpada. "We immediately alerted the child line by putting the children's pictures and other details. Based on this information child line tracked the children in Varanasi," said Shivaji Kadam, senior inspector of Nagpada.

Police are now trying to find how these children reached Varanasi. Madanpura resident Nazneen Khan had told police that her daughter Kulsum and two other kids-Tarannum Khan (6) and Kabir Khan (4)-were playing outside her mother's home at Naya Nagar when they went missing in the afternoon. CCTV footage showed the children holding some boxes.
