Teacher leaked HSC paper to bar girl’s brother: Police

MUMBAI: Over a month and a half after the accountancy question paper for the class 12 board exam was leaked, the police said it was a teacher from a Ghatkopar school who had first passed it on to the brother of a bar girl he had befriended. The bar girl's brother had appeared for the exam. The arrested teacher Sunil Barve (44), who had been arrested and later released on bail, has told the police that he was friends with the girl who asked him to help her brother.

A resident of Sanpada, Barve has been teaching at the school for more than 20 years. On March 2, when the question paper reached the school, Barve who was one of the supervisors, took a photo of the paper and sent it on WhatsApp to the bar girl's brother. The police said that the bar girl and her brother have confessed to receiving the paper.
